Please help our doctors stay on schedule by arriving on time for your appointment. If you arrive 10 minutes late or more, you may be asked to reschedule the appointment.
When you schedule an appointment with us, we set aside enough time to provide you with the highest quality care. Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible, and no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. This gives us time to schedule other patients who may be waiting for an appointment. Please see our appointment cancellation/no-show policy below:
Effective June 27, 2022, any established patient who fails to show or cancels an appointment and has not contacted our office with at least 24 hours notice will be considered a no-show and charged a $25.00 fee.
This fee is charged to the patient, not the insurance company, and is due at the time of the patient’s next office visit.
Any new patient that fails to show for their initial appointment will not be rescheduled.
If a third no-show or cancellation/reschedule without 24-hour notice should occur, the patient may be dismissed from Alger Pediatrics.
As a courtesy and as time allows, we send out reminder calls/texts for appointments. If you do not receive a reminder call or text, the above policy will remain in effect.
We understand there may be times when an emergency occurs and you may not be able to keep your scheduled appointment. We will allow one missed appointment at no cost to you.
Once your child turns 18, they are considered a legal adult and we are therefore unable to share medical information with anyone but the patient unless they fill out and sign an information disclosure form giving permission to speak to parents or guardians (found under the “forms + disclosures” tab at the top of the page).
If your child has not submitted an information disclosure form, we can take information from you, but are unable to give you any information.
Thank you for understanding!
